  1. Thanks for the very useful information. Has anyone set up a useable tracability plan for the small produce grower? Hate to have to create the wheel, as surely someone has and would share a simple form that we could all use.

    • Robbie,
In fact we are working this out – we are looking at hosting some Tier 3 Workshop for Traceability for small farms. Can you give me some more details on your farm and I will be sure to include you in any of the forthcoming information. Or better yet, subscribe to this blog!

      • Dianne – We grow cukes, cant, w/melon, variety squash, eggplant, tomatoes, onion/green/spring, cabbage & variety of peppers. We have about 20 acres on black plastic w/drip irrigation to all. We mostly field pack. Do have storage/cooler area, packing area when needed all under covered shelter. We grow for our own market @ Ral State Fmrs Mrkt – May – Nov and sell on wholesale line to other vendors by pallet , cases or whatever market calls for & we have available. We are not a big enough operation to go under the “Big GAP” program, but do go by as many guideines as feasible for the size farm we have. What else would you need to know?
